Team Building

For any professional team currently in transition, have difficulties integrating or in need of conflict management

 

AIMS;
To provide an opportunity for all the team to participate in:
• Exploring how individuals currently work within a team

 Looking at personality styles 

 Sharing information

 Identifying: current strengths within the team and areas for further development

 Current motivation

 Future Goals

Learning outcomes:
All participants are offered a chance to gain insight into themselves and how they work within a team  
All participants will have a greater understanding of how they communicate
All participating team members will have a clear understanding of what is currently working and areas for further development 
The participating team members will leave with a number of goals to improve the overall performance

Using Creativity within the Helping Professions

 

 Aim:

To provide an opportunity for all participants to experience tools which allow, self-exploration and experience various ways to improve reflective practice, using various creative materials. 

 

Learning outcomes:

  • All participants are offered a chance to gain insight into themselves and how they can adapt these tools for professional practice 
  • All participants will have a understanding the various mediums of communication 
  • The participating members will leave with a number of skills to build upon which will improve their professional practice

An Introduction to using creative materials when working therapeutically with children.

1 Day Workshop

 

More and more there are demands for counsellors and therapists to extend their therapeutic skills with children.   Having knowledge of the value of play is central to the therapeutic work and is why this training was devised to encourage professionals to reflect upon the skills and qualities required and experience the centrality of play for children’s social, emotional and psychological development.   The aims and objective of the day are as follows:

 

AIMS

 

To explore, enhance and practice listening skills

 

To experience and reflect upon the various mediums of communication

 

To specifically focus upon the different ways in which children communicate through sensory play, projectory play and play through embodiment

 

To explore appropriate theoretical models which focus upon understanding development and relational attunement

 

 
LEARNING OUTCOMES

 

All individuals will be able to demonstrate an understanding of Listening Skills

 

All individuals will have a basic understanding of the theoretical history of the various forms of communication

 

All individuals will have a basic understanding of the power and significance of play within a child vocabulary

 

All individuals will have experience of giving a receiving feedback to peers  

 

All individuals will have considered different ways of how people tell their stories
